Not a great week for polical quotes but as usual there’s always something weird coming out of the salons’ mouths. Go to Politico.com for the complete list but here are two that caught my interest:

They’re guaranteed to invade your personal space, touch you. I sat next to a Republican senator once at dinner and he had his hand on my inner thigh the whole time. I was like, ehh, get me out of here.” –NewYorkTimes columnist David Brooks, on MSNBC.

“I justified my actions because I blamed my wife.” –Sen. John Ensign, in a letter written in February 2008 (and unearthed this week) to his mistress, Cynthia Hampton.
