Obama Throws Tax Increases Into The Mix

Just what we need. It looked like President-elect Obama was on a roll and now he starts waffling. In a world full of uncertainties his best currency is decisiveness.

In an interview on CNBC this evening, he said that he was unsure of whether or not the Bush tax cuts would be allowed to expire in 2010. Come on, no sane person believes that a tax increase should even be talked about at this point in time. Taxes will surely come and in spades to pay off the debt we are going to incur but right now it’s inappropriate to even hint that they may be right around the corner.

What was it that Margaret Thatcher said to Bush 1at the beginning of the first Iraq War? Don’t go wobbly on me, wasn’t it?
